Department of English, Thoubal College observed “International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women (25th November)” on 27th November, 2018 at the Conference Hall of Thoubal College.
The function was graced by Principal, Thoubal College, Smt. O Chaoba Devi, Advocate, Dr. Ch. Narendra Singh & HOD, English, Shri S. Loken Singh as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour & President respectively.
Smt. W. Mema Devi, Asst. Prof. English Department, talked on the topic ” Violence Against the Women as Reflected in English Literature”
Mr. Nando Mangag talked on the topic ” Meitei Women According to Meitei Philosophy”
Advocate Dr. Ch. Narendra Singh also talked in the topic.
Giving her Chief Guest Speech, Smt O Chaoba Devi appealed to stop any kind of violence against women in future.
